Key Features of Infiniti G Series Brakes:

Power-assisted:

The brakes are power-assisted, meaning they use a vacuum booster to reduce the amount of pedal force needed to stop the vehicle.

4-wheel disc brakes:

All G series models come standard with four-wheel disc brakes.

Ventilated discs:

The brake rotors are ventilated, allowing air to circulate and help cool the brakes during heavy use.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS):

ABS prevents the wheels from locking up during hard braking, helping the driver maintain steering control.

Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD):

EBD distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels, optimizing stopping power based on vehicle load.

Brake Assist (BA):

Brake Assist helps apply maximum braking force in emergency situations by detecting panic braking and automatically increasing braking pressure.

Sport brakes (optional):

Some models, like the G37 Sport 6MT, come with larger brakes, including 4-piston front calipers and 2-piston rear calipers.

Parking Brake:

G series models utilize a foot-operated parking brake for automatic transmissions, and a hand lever on the center console for manual transmissions.

Additional Information:

Brake Pad Wear:

Brake pads have a wear indicator that will make a screeching sound when they need to be replaced.

Brake Rotor Maintenance:

Brake rotors can be resurfaced or replaced when they become worn or warped.

Brake Fluid:

Brake fluid should be flushed and replaced periodically to maintain proper brake performance.

Aftermarket Upgrades:

Owners can upgrade their brake systems with larger rotors, performance pads, and stainless steel brake lines.
